Lead Electrical Engineer H/F

Position Objective:

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will report to the Head of the Electrical Department within the Energy Carriers business line. You will be responsible for the technical design, sizing, and validation of electrical systems for Oil & Gas projects. You will guarantee the technical quality of deliverables and supervise a team of engineers, while providing in-depth expertise in high current.

How can you contribute? Your responsibilities:

• Design and size network architectures: perform power balances, design distribution diagrams, develop operational philosophies, master network studies (short-circuit, stability, load flow, motor starting...) and draft related calculation notes (via ETAP or Power Tools);

• Size power generation and all distribution: HV/LV transformers, HV panels, LV panels, UPS, battery chargers…;

• Draft technical specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment and "bulk" materials (cables, lighting equipment, cable trays, cable glands, junction boxes...);

• Prepare TBE (Technical Bid Evaluations) to compare technical offers from suppliers;

• Define activity and deliverable lists and coordinate their execution according to the contractual schedule, including for detailed studies carried out in our decentralized centers in India or on construction sites;

• Make technical arbitrations and assume responsibility for them (especially for the supervision of junior and external engineers), verify the technical quality of produced documents (calculations, diagrams, technical notes);

• Participate in client technical meetings and multidisciplinary reviews;

• Provide technical support on construction sites to resolve problems. Understand and validate subcontracted studies;

• Update technical procedures and internal standards based on feedback.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Engineering degree (Bac+5) in electrical engineering or equivalent, with a specialization in high current.

• Experience: Minimum 8 years in HV/LV electrical engineering, ideally in the Oil & Gas sector. Experience in coordinating technical teams (internal/external).

• Languages: French C1, English C1

• Technical skills: Strong technical expertise, proficiency in ETAP, Powertools, CANECO, DIALUX software.

• Travel of several weeks per year is expected internationally.
