Location: Belgrade, Serbia

What You’ll Do

Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare and review VAT, WHT, and Intrastat returns

• Ensure timely tax payments, reconciliations, and compliance across assigned European jurisdictions

Business Partnering

• Support tax leads, finance teams, and key stakeholders on tax matters

• Provide guidance on tax treatments, regulatory changes, and cross-border transactions

Process Improvement & Automation

• Drive process enhancements and standardization across tax operations

• Support SAP improvements, automation projects, and digital tax solutions

• Partner with Finance and IT teams to improve efficiency and controls

Audit & Risk Management

• Support tax audits and responses to tax authority inquiries

• Liaise with external advisors and statutory auditors

• Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions

Team Collaboration

• Share technical knowledge and best practices

• Support the development of junior team members when needed

Skills & Capabilities

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in indirect taxation, including VAT and Withholding Tax

• Experience in a multinational company, SSC/GBS environment, Big 4, or tax advisory firm is a plus

Technical Expertise

• Solid knowledge of European VAT and WHT regulations

• Understanding of cross-border transactions and statutory reporting requirements

Systems & Analytics

• Experience working with SAP (FI/CO and tax reporting tools)

• Strong Excel and analytical skills

• Exposure to tax technology and automation solutions is an advantage

Professional Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work in multicultural and cross-functional environments

Languages

• Fluent English, written and spoken

• Additional European languages are an advantage
