The Role

As a Product Manager, Revenue Growth & Monetization for Yahoo Media Group, you'll own and drive a product roadmap focused on maximizing revenue yield across Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Sports.

While advertising and supply optimization remain core to the role, your scope will extend across multiple revenue streams, including strategic partnerships and reserved sales.

This includes optimizing ad placements and rendering logic to developing flexible onsite promotional frameworks, audience targeting capabilities, and new monetization experiences.

Enough About Us, What About You?

You:

• Are obsessed with data and business outcomes. You love digging into performance data, identifying opportunities, and translating insights into measurable revenue growth.

• Think holistically about monetization. You understand that every placement and user interaction has value, and can evaluate opportunities across advertising, subscriptions, commerce, and partnerships rather than optimizing each in isolation.

• Are technically fluent and AI-forward. You're comfortable working closely with engineers, understanding technical systems, and using AI tools to accelerate your own productivity and product development workflows.

• Move quickly and independently. You thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve, opportunities emerge unexpectedly, and rapid experimentation matters.

• Balance revenue and user experience. You understand the tradeoffs between monetization, engagement, site performance, and long-term user value.

• Are a strong cross-functional partner. You can influence stakeholders, navigate competing business priorities, and communicate effectively from high-level strategy down to technical requirements. And, most importantly, you are a team player who enjoys motivating others to work together towards common goals.

• Are both strategic and hands-on. You can identify the right opportunities to pursue and do the detailed work required to bring them to market.

You Must Have

• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in digital media, advertising technology, monetization, or revenue growth.

• Demonstrated experience developing and executing product initiatives that drive measurable revenue growth across web and/or mobile applications.

• Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, ad serving, inventory management, and yield optimization.

• Experience leveraging analytics and experimentation platforms to uncover revenue optimization opportunities, develop and test hypotheses, and translate performance insights into actionable product improvements. Testing and data is core to this team.

• Proficiency using AI-assisted tools in day-to-day product development workflows, with the ability to independently accelerate research, analysis, prototyping, requirements development, and delivery.

• Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate closely with engineering on frontend code requirements, APIs, integrations, instrumentation, and platform capabilities.

• Proven ability to operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Ad Manager, Prebid, SSP integrations, and programmatic advertising infrastructure.

• Experience developing onsite monetization or promotional frameworks supporting multiple business initiatives.

• Familiarity with first-party audience targeting, segmentation, and privacy-conscious monetization strategies.

• Experience with AI-assisted coding, prototyping, SQL generation, or building lightweight internal tools to accelerate product discovery and development.

• Understanding of direct-sold advertising, campaign operations, revenue forecasting, and commercial product packaging.

• Experience working across digital media, sports, fantasy gaming, financial services, or other large-scale consumer platforms.
