What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer passionate about software quality and test automation, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining testing solutions that contribute to the delivery of reliable and high-quality applications.

The person will work closely with Development, Product, and QA teams to ensure efficient test coverage, early defect detection, and strengthen software quality through modern automation practices.

Essential Requirements

• University Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing

• Minimum 2 years developing and maintaining automated tests

• Proven experience using JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation

• Hands-on experience with Playwright or equivalent end-to-end automation tools

• Experience using testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, or similar

• Experience performing REST API tests and integration tests

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation suites

• Knowledge of performance, accessibility, and security testing

• Proficiency in Git for version control

• Advanced English level (B2+), with the ability to work in technical environments and collaborate with international teams

Desirable Requirements

• Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes

• Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools

• Experience working under agile methodologies such as Scrum

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Jest, Vitest, or other similar tools

• Implement and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality of solutions

• Perform REST API tests, validating contracts, responses, data, status codes, and error handling

• Execute exploratory tests to identify risks, unconsidered scenarios, and improvement opportunities

• Analyze test results to identify the root cause of detected defects

• Document defects clearly and structured, including evidence, reproduction steps, expected results, and impact level

• Track defects and collaborate with the development team until their resolution

• Participate in defining acceptance criteria and test scenarios from the initial stages of development

• Review functional and technical requirements to identify risks, inconsistencies, or coverage gaps

• Manage automation code using Git and apply good version control practices

• Integrate and maintain automated tests within continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes

• Monitor the stability, coverage, and effectiveness of automation suites to promote continuous improvement

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development cycle

Work modality: Hybrid (Once a week at the client's offices in Forum II, Santa Ana).
