PURPOSE:
The Customer Technical Services (CTS) Technician is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and high‑quality technical services across customer outlets. The role ensures effective installation, maintenance, refurbishment, modification and de‑installation of CTS assets (including draught systems and refrigeration/coolers where applicable), while safeguarding service quality, asset lifecycle integrity, accurate documentation and strict compliance with CTS safety and ways of working.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
Certification in Safe Handling of Refrigerants (mandatory)
Certification in a related technical/artisanal field (refrigeration, electrical or mechanical) – advantageous
Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical installation and maintenance of draught machinery or refrigeration equipment
Valid Code B/BE driver’s licence
Digitally literate with experience using field service systems and mobile tools
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Install, de‑install, maintain, repair, refurbish and modify CTS assets in line with required standards and work instructions
Accurately update and close work orders, capturing time spent, materials used, asset identifiers and required proof of service
Obtain customer confirmation through digital sign‑off and maintain high documentation accuracy
Deliver professional and timely customer service while minimising outlet disruption
Provide feedback on service outcomes, site risks, recurring faults and customer complaints to the CTS Coordinator
Ensure correct stock usage, movements and asset traceability, including inventory transfers and returns
Conduct physical asset checks when required and report discrepancies with supporting evidence
Comply with all safety, PPE and safe working practices, particularly when working with pressurised and refrigeration systems
Escalate complex or high‑risk refrigeration faults and unsafe conditions immediately through the required governance channels
