It’s split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world. </div><div>Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates. </div><div>    </div><div>A Geoscience Co-Op/Intern will gain hands-on experience contributing to geological analysis, operational enhancements, and environmental sustainability at Mosaic Potash Esterhazy, one of the world's most competitive underground potash mines. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.</div><div>What will you do?  </div><div> Day to day duties may include:  <ul><li>Conducting fieldwork to support underground potash operations, focusing on ore control and extraction optimization.</li><li>Assisting in geological surveys and data collection, contributing to mineral resource assessments.</li><li>Collaborating with geoscientists, engineers, and environmental specialists to analyze geological data and support operational reports.</li><li>Helping develop geological assessments and procedures to enhance efficiency and sustainability.</li><li>Formulating solutions for mining process improvements, optimizing final product quality.</li><li>Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment </li><li>Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies </li><li>Communicating with various groups of personnel throughout the organization including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespeople, and contractors</li><li>Participating in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment</li><li>Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, safety guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.</li></ul> </div><div>What do you need for this role? </div><div><ul><li>Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences, Geological Sciences or Geological Engineering</li><li>72% Percentage or higher. </li><li>1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.</li><li>Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.</li><li>Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.</li><li>Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship</li><li>Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.</li><li>Basic computer skills are required.</li><li>Experience working in a team environment is a must.</li><li>Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.</li><li>Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.</li><li>Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.</li></ul></div><div>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
