Software Engineer - SAP

The Position

As a Software Engineer – Architecture & Infrastructure in the SAP Enablement team, you will support the development and operation of SAP infrastructure and platform components. You will work closely with senior engineers, contributing to infrastructure engineering, automation, and platform support, while building foundational skills in SAP architecture, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Platform Support

• Assist in building and maintaining SAP infrastructure components across environments

• Support implementation of platform configurations for compute, storage, and networking

• Help ensure platform stability and availability for SAP systems

Cloud & DevOps Enablement

• Contribute to cloud infrastructure deployments (Azure preferred) using Infrastructure-as-Code

• Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, and environment setup activities

• Assist in implementing monitoring, logging, and observability for infrastructure

SAP Platform Operations

• Work closely with SAP Basis and platform teams to support deployments, patching, and upgrades

• Assist in resolving infrastructure-related issues and incidents

• Support ongoing lifecycle activities for SAP environments

Architecture & Standards Adoption

• Follow defined architecture patterns and infrastructure standards

• Contribute to documentation and implementation of reusable infrastructure components

• Support adherence to security and governance controls

Operational Excellence

• Monitor systems and assist in troubleshooting performance and reliability issues

• Support automation of routine operational tasks

• Participate in continuous improvement activities

Collaboration & Learning

• Work with Architecture, Infrastructure, SAP Basis, and Engineering teams

• Participate in technical discussions and learning opportunities

• Build skills in SAP architecture, cloud platforms, and infrastructure engineering

Our Ideal Candidate

• Foundational understanding of infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering

• Basic awareness of SAP systems and enterprise platforms

• Interest in learning cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering practices

• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn

• Ability to collaborate effectively within engineering teams

Required Skills/Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or related areas

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

• Familiarity with scripting or programming (Python, Bash, or similar)

• Understanding of CI/CD, automation, or DevOps concepts

• Exposure to networking, systems, or platform fundamentals
