What are we looking for?

Objective of the position: Contribute to the development, administration and optimization of SQL Server and DB2 databases, ensuring their operation, performance, availability, security and integrity. Participate in the construction of data solutions, incident management and the optimization of critical queries to support the delivery of technological projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, modify and maintain Stored Procedures and SQL/T-SQL queries in SQL Server and DB2.

• Participate in the development of views, functions, triggers and information integration processes.

• Analyze and optimize queries and stored procedures to improve performance and response times.

• Administer and monitor databases in development, testing and production environments.

• Diagnose and resolve incidents, blockages, deadlocks and performance problems.

• Support in backup, restoration, recovery and database maintenance activities.

• Participate in testing, versioning, deployments and releases of database objects.

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the quality and continuity of solutions.

Challenges of the role:

• Balance the development of data solutions with database administration and support needs.

• Contribute to incident resolution and critical query optimization.

• Maintain the stability and performance of databases used by different applications.

• Adapt to the needs of multiple projects and collaborate in their deliveries.

Essential requirements:

Experience:

• Practical experience at a Semi Senior level working with relational databases.

• Experience in developing SQL solutions and stored procedures.

• Ability to analyze technical problems and propose solutions.

Technology:

• Microsoft SQL Server.

• IBM DB2.

• SQL and T-SQL.

• Development and maintenance of Stored Procedures.

Key skills (ESSENTIAL):

• Analytical thinking and technical problem solving.

• Effective communication with development, infrastructure and support teams.

• Results orientation and compliance with technical objectives.

Desirable:

• Development of views, functions and triggers.

• Query Tuning and query optimization.

• Administration, monitoring and maintenance of databases.

• Backup, restore and information recovery.

• Troubleshooting incidents in production.

• Management of database permissions and security.

• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery.

• Data integration and deployment of database objects.

Conditions:

• Modality: Hybrid in Mexico City.

• Attendance 2 or 3 days a week at the office; the rest at home office.
