About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Sybase Developer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and optimizing database-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Sybase ASE, strong SQL proficiency, and significant exposure to developing and tuning stored procedures and other DB objects. As a lead, you will guide development efforts, provide technical leadership, and ensure high-performance, scalable database solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8+ years of hands-on experience in database development using Sybase ASE/IQ.

Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience working closely with application teams on integrated backend solutions.

Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, data modeling, indexing, transactions, and concurrency.

Proven experience with production issue investigation and resolution.

Agile development methodologies
Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with Sybase DBA activities.

Exposure to Java backend development (Spring, REST APIs, JDBC, ORM frameworks).

Experience in Unix/Linux environments for scripting and DB automation.
