INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER VMware - Azure- IA MADRID

Do you have real experience with VMware, Oracle and automation? We're looking for someone like you.

From DXC Technology we're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to work in Madrid with an important client in enterprise infrastructure. We need someone technical, hands-on and willing to roll up their sleeves — someone who implements, not just designs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and implement on-premises and hybrid infrastructures with VMware, Oracle and related technologies

• Automate infrastructure processes through scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible)

• Lead migrations from legacy systems to modern platforms, driving the technical implementation

• Optimize existing infrastructure: performance, availability, security and regulatory compliance

• Deploy AI-driven solutions for service modernization and intelligent automation

• Integrate Azure into hybrid on-premises + cloud strategies

• Collaborate with international teams on solution design and troubleshooting

• Document architectures and create infrastructure standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Real experience in:

• Hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) — you've implemented, not just theorized

• Oracle or enterprise databases — you understand database infrastructure

• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible) — you've automated real processes

• On-premises or hybrid environments — you know physical and virtual infrastructure

• Large or complex companies — you've worked in corporate environments

Nice to have:

• Azure or AWS — cloud experience

• Zerto, Commvault, Guardicore

• Networking (CISCO, Juniper)

• Monitoring (Grafana, Nagios)

• AI applied to infrastructure — optimization, intelligent automation

Attitude:

• Hands-on: you implement, not just design

• Adaptable: you learn new technologies based on client needs

• Proactive: you see problems and propose solutions

• Collaborative: you work well with international teams

• Location: Madrid (on-site or hybrid depending on client)

• Experience: 5-8 years

• High English level — you'll work daily with international teams
