Internship
Start Your HR Journey in a Dynamic International Environment
Are you currently studying Human Resources, Business, or a related field and looking for a part-time opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience in an international company alongside your studies?
As an HR Student Assistant at Nets Norway, you’ll become part of our local HR team and gain hands-on experience across a broad range of HR topics. You’ll work closely with our Norwegian HR colleagues while also collaborating with Nordic HR colleagues. This is an opportunity to put theory into practice, take real responsibility, and build a strong foundation for your future HR career.
The position is part-time, approximately 2–3 days per week and we offer flexibility in planning your working days and hours around your study schedule. The position is fixed term at least until the end of 2027 and we hope you can join us as soon as possible.
We are Nexi, the result of merging Nexi, Nets, and Sia. With a presence in over 25 countries and over 80 years of experience, we offer plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. We’re shaping the future of digital payments through innovation, collaboration, and a strong focus on people.
From seamless e-commerce to smart digital transactions, payment technologies are transforming how people live and conduct business - and Nexi is leading that transformation. By joining us, you’ll be part of an open, collaborative, and diverse community where your voice is heard and your ideas make an impact.
You’ll get the best of both worlds: the scale and learning opportunities of a large international organization and the closeness of our Oslo offices with around 230 employees. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Norway while also gaining exposure to HR across our Nordic organization.
This isn’t a role where you’ll just observe from the sidelines. You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities, contribute to meaningful HR activities, and have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to the table.
As our HR Student Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle, working with both our local Norwegian organization and the broader Nordic HR team. You will be working on-site at our Oslo Lysaker office.
Your responsibilities will include:
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate onboarding sessions and Onboarding Days, helping us create a great start for our new colleagues.
Support the coordination or monthly union and quarterly AMU meetings, including data collection and material prepartion.
Support day-to-day people topics through preparation of materials, follow-ups, and other practical HR activities.
Work hands-on with HR data and help compile reports, presentations, and key people metrics.
Collaborate with our Nordic HR colleagues on shared tasks, cross-country alignment, and process improvements.
Contribute to local employee engagement initiatives, internal events, and continuous improvement projects.
This role could be a great match for you if:
You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or another relevant field, ideally with 1–2 years remaining in your studies
You have a genuine interest in operational HR and Norwegian employment practices.
You are fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
You are organized, curious, proactive and you know how to get things done efficiently when it counts.
You are comfortable working with numbers and data and you are curious about AI and other digital tools. You have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
You bring a positive, collaborative mindset and enjoy communicating with colleagues across various teams.
You don’t need to know everything about HR yet. What matters most is that you’re eager to learn, willing to take initiative and excited to develop your skills with us.
We believe in growing our people. Joining as a HR Student Assistant can be a significant step towards a future career with us, including potential opportunities in our graduate program.
