As a System Application Engineer, you will utilize your expertise to develop, optimize, and promote suitable solutions for customer systems

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

In this role, you will serve as a key member of the System Application Engineering team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and customers to develop tailored solutions that meet their specific needs

• Develop PD Controller firmware on Notebook/Desktop/Embedded Host applications and ensure compliance with USB PD specifications.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues related to USB PD firmware, including identifying and resolving problems, and collaborating with SW/Validation/Design teams to resolve system-level issues.

• Test and validate USB PD firmware applications to ensure they meet the required specifications, performance, and reliability standards.

• Support new/customized feature implementation on customer design.

• Conduct technical training on system levels with internal and external stakeholders

• Establishing and maintaining customer relations

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Information Engineering

• 5+ years of work experience in firmware development related fields

• Familiar with C language developing/programming skills are needed

• Good experience with embedded processor architecture

• Experience in firmware development environment such as Eclipse IDE, ModusTool Box IDE, etc

• Familiar with various debugging techniques and experience in using debugging tools

• Communication interface skills: I2C, UART, SPI, etc

• Knowledge of USB Power Delivery (PD) is a plus

• Knowledge of hardware design is a plus

• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git is a plus

• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Fluent in Mandarin and English
