THE JOB:

As a Pastry Cook at Borgata, you will be responsible for preparing and serving exquisite desserts while creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests with your warm smile and attentive service. By connecting with them and understanding their unique stories and needs, you'll take ownership of their experience, crafting WOW moments and lasting memories that they will cherish long after their visit.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Follow the methods of food preparation, baking method and techniques to properly prepare and serve desserts as instructed by the Chef

• Set-up and operate the workstation based on pars established by the Chef and follow station set-up organization

• Ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures through the use and reading of thermometers

• List the preparations that should be completed for each day the night before

• Monitor consistency of quality, presentation and flavor of each dish

• Assemble recipes without assistance

• Communicate problems to the Sous Chef

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the work area, utensils and equipment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

• Required to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

• 2+ Years of pastry experience in a pastry department preferred

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is: $24.60

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
