Security Operations Architect Lead

The Opportunity

Everyone knows security needs to be built into modern architectures. You know how to make it a foundational design principle. You understand how to secure complex enterprise ecosystems, integrate emerging technologies, and reduce organizational risk while enabling innovation at scale. What if you could use your cybersecurity architecture, risk management, and transformation expertise to shape the future of AI-enabled security operations for federal civilian agencies, state and local governments, and critical infrastructure organizations?

As a Security Operations Architect Lead at Booz Allen, you'll lead the modernization of enterprise security operations through the adoption of Agentic AI, intelligent automation, and next-generation security platforms. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to executives, CISOs, security leaders, and technology stakeholders, helping organizations transform legacy operating models into resilient, AI-enabled security ecosystems while strengthening their security posture and risk management capabilities.

You'll work closely with clients, OEM partners, cloud providers, and cross-functional engineering teams to identify the right combination of technologies, architectures, and operational processes to address evolving cyber threats and business risks. Drawing upon deep experience with leading security vendors and platforms, you'll evaluate emerging capabilities, develop strategic roadmaps, conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, and design scalable architectures that align with mission objectives, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk management strategies.

We need leaders who can move beyond traditional approaches and drive innovation where the industry is headed. You'll architect secure, intelligent security operations capabilities that leverage advanced analytics, AI agents, automation, orchestration, and real-time threat intelligence. You'll guide teams in developing solutions that balance cybersecurity, compliance, operational resilience, and business outcomes across highly regulated and mission-critical environments.

This is an opportunity to lead transformative initiatives across state and local government, civilian agencies, critical infrastructure, and regulated industries. You'll oversee efforts that help organizations address sophisticated cyber threats through capabilities such as security operations modernization, cyber risk management, threat detection and response, identity security, cloud security, zero trust architecture, cyber resilience, and security automation.

You'll broaden your impact across emerging areas such as Agentic AI governance, autonomous security operations, AI-enabled threat hunting, enterprise platform modernization, intelligent security orchestration, and cyber risk quantification. As a technical and strategic leader, you'll identify opportunities to apply innovative cybersecurity solutions that accelerate mission outcomes while strengthening security and reducing enterprise risk.
