Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered applications, including backend services, APIs, data pipelines, model integrations, and user-facing interfaces

• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Python and develop responsive frontend applications using Angular

• Implement and integrate generative AI, large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), document classification, optical character recognition (OCR), and conversational AI capabilities

• Support machine learning model inference, training, fine-tuning, and optimization to deliver reliable, production-ready AI solutions

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, system integrations, and database solutions that enable seamless communication across AI platform components

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and scalable software delivery

• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, UI/UX designers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into innovative AI-driven features

• Design and implement client-focused AI use cases leveraging CGI's AI Platform, taking ownership of assigned features from development through deployment

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, security, and scalability across development and production environments

• Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and peer mentoring while promoting engineering best practices and continuous improvement

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience

• 0–2 years of hands-on experience in full-stack application development, with proficiency in Python for backend development and Angular for frontend development

• 0–2 years of practical experience developing or contributing to AI-powered applications involving generative AI, NLP, document classification, chatbots, OCR, or related intelligent automation capabilities, including academic or project-based experience

• Foundational understanding of machine learning, LLM inference, model integration, and the software development practices required to build AI-enabled applications

• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, system integration patterns, and modern software engineering principles

• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, and their use in deploying and managing applications
