【Mission of the Position】 This position is part of the Worldwide team, focusing on the Japanese market. Our mission is to fundamentally transform the R&D processes of our pharmaceutical and chemical/materials manufacturing customers through our cutting-edge LIMS products and molecular modeling solutions. Specifically, as a "Scientific Advisor," you will contribute to realizing innovation by proposing scientifically-based technical solutions to customer business challenges in the fields of AI drug discovery and computational drug discovery.

【Background of Recruitment】 In recent years, a pressing challenge in drug discovery research and development has been to select promising compounds from a vast pool of molecular candidates and shorten the time to market. To address this challenge, global investment in AI and simulation technologies is accelerating. In collaboration with NVIDIA, we offer an innovative platform that utilizes generative AI for small molecule drug discovery approaches and accelerates simulation and AI models. To deliver this cutting-edge technology to our customers, we are looking for professionals with a deep understanding of molecular modeling, computational chemistry, and pharmaceutical R&D.

【Specific Job Responsibilities】 You will be responsible for everything from consulting on customer R&D challenges to solution implementation.

【Pre-sales Activities】

Focusing on improving organizational performance and achieving project goals for customers, you will communicate the value of our solutions using your technical expertise.

• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations.

• Listen to and organize customer challenges and needs, and propose solutions.

• Provide technical support for Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).

• Give presentations and hold seminars at academic conferences and events.

【Post-sales Activities】

Collaborate with customers and product support teams to ensure that products and services meet customer expectations and deliver maximum effectiveness.

• Troubleshooting and identifying technical challenges, proposing solutions and improvements.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational chemistry, structural biology, biophysics, biochemistry, cheminformatics, or a closely related field.

• 3-5+ years of industry experience in biopharma, CRO, or life science software (including demonstrated experience internal or external to drug discovery teams).

• Deep expertise in either small molecule drug discovery or biopharmaceutical drug discovery (experience in both, or strong interest in novel modalities, is a plus).

• Demonstrated communication skills to credibly engage with senior scientists and business stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.

• High proficiency in molecular modeling and simulation tools (experience with Discovery Studio is a significant advantage).

• English language skills (reading and writing level); native level Japanese is essential.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
