RTR Accountant

Role Responsibilities & Job Description:

Support General Ledger accounting activities including journal preparation and account reconciliations for Asia business units.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including financial reporting to local entities and HQ.

Oversee tax compliance activities including Corporate Income Tax, VAT/GST, WHT filings, tax reporting, and reconciliations across APAC entities.

Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies.

Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and external audit processes, liaising with auditors and key stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, regional projects, and ad-hoc assignments while collaborating effectively across teams.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 7 years of experience in a general accounting role within an MNC or Shared Services environment, with regional APAC exposure.

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA preferred.

Proven experience managing end-to-end statutory audits, including annual financial statements and tax submissions.

Strong knowledge of APAC Local GAAP, statutory accounting, and taxation requirements across multiple jurisdictions; hands-on ERP system experience is essential, with ERP implementation exposure highly regarded.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Mandarin; additional Asian language capabilities such as Japanese or Korean are advantageous.

Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with a strong process control mindset, analytical thinking, and solid accounting and taxation expertise.
