JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for customer service, meat cutting, stocking, weighing, packaging, pricing, validity table, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the sector, following the company's operational standards, maintaining the quality of the store's meats, aiming at customer loyalty and satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

• Manipulate and prepare goods (traditional and special meat cuts, packaging, labeling) for sale in self-service, service counter, or designated display areas, seeking to maintain a quality display within norms and procedures;

• Directly serve customers, providing fractionalization, weighing, and delivery of goods, following company procedures;

• Daily control the validity and quality of products at service counters and self-service counters, preventing products with compromised quality and validity from remaining in the sales area and stock;

• Stock products in the sales area, ensuring that the entire mix (variety) is available to customers, following the defined layout for the sector;

• Perform maintenance/cleaning of utensils, sector equipment, physical facilities, according to standards required by health surveillance, as well as cleaning the sales area and stock, keeping them clean and organized;

• Collaborate with the reception of goods from the sector according to need, respecting receiving and storage norms;

• Prepare the sector for store closing and opening, regarding stocking, pricing, display, and storage of goods, aiming for a quality display, respecting integrity in complying with norms and procedures;

• Perform pricing on all products exposed for sale, ensuring the correct price for the customer, as well as the expiration date, daily checking if any displayed product lacks a price and arranging for pricing.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Complete Elementary Education;

• Experience in the food industry - Wholesaler, Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, Butchers, etc. will be considered a differential;

• Knowledge of Meats:

  • Types of Cuts: Know how to identify and perform different meat cuts (such as sirloin, strip loin, brisket, etc.) and understand which part of the meat is most suitable for certain dishes;
  • Meat Quality: Know different types of meat (beef, pork, poultry, etc.) and how to assess their quality.

• Knife Handling: Know how to handle different types of knives, such as boning knives, chef knives, and serrated knives, and keep blades sharp;

• Cutting Techniques: Perform cuts such as cubes, strips, steaks, and other formats, according to customer or recipe needs;

• Safe Handling: Maintain rigorous hygiene practices to avoid contamination and ensure food safety;

• Storage: Know how to properly store meat, including appropriate temperature and preservation conditions;

• Equipment:

  • Use of Tools: Correctly use equipment such as meat grinders, bone saws, and cutters;
  • Maintenance: Take care of equipment and perform necessary maintenance to ensure they are always in good condition;

• Communication: Be able to explain to customers about different cuts and types of meat, offering recommendations based on their preferences;

• Culinary Knowledge:

  • Recipes and Preparations: Have a good understanding of how different cuts of meat are prepared and cooked, which can help suggest the best way to prepare the meat.
