Job Description

As part of the development of our activities in artificial intelligence and data science, we are looking for a Senior AI Product Owner Consultant with confirmed experience of over 5 years in managing AI products and projects.

The ideal profile has a Data Scientist background who then evolved into an AI PO role, capable of understanding the technical complexity of models, guiding development teams, and driving the business value of AI solutions for clients.

The AI PO acts as a conductor between technical teams (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, MLOps) and business stakeholders, ensuring the relevance, feasibility, and adoption of artificial intelligence solutions.

Main missions

• Define the AI product vision, objectives, and performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the company's or client's strategy.

• Frame AI use cases with business units: identification, qualification, and prioritization according to business value and technical feasibility. Analyze, challenge, and improve business processes by integrating artificial intelligence and automation solutions.

• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements understandable for AI teams.

• Build AI roadmaps by balancing business value, timeline, and implementation cost.

• Collaborate closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to ensure the consistency of deliverables with the product roadmap.

• Prioritize the AI / data backlog, arbitrate between innovation, technical debt, and business needs.

• Facilitate agile rituals (sprint planning, reviews, demos, retrospectives) and ensure continuous communication with stakeholders.

• Ensure ethical, regulatory, and technical compliance of AI products (GDPR, explainability, responsible AI).

• Support business units in understanding and adopting AI solutions, through demonstrations, training, or communication materials.

• Oversee implementation to supervise the realization of automation projects and make them sustainable.

• Participate in technological watch and propose innovations on new AI approaches (LLM, RAG, NLP, generative AI, optimization, etc.).

• Contribute to the pre-sales phase by identifying AI opportunities and helping design technical offers and proposals.

Qualifications

Hold a Master's degree or equivalent (Engineering school, university, or doctorate) in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or AI. You have 5 to 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years as a Data Scientist and 2 years as a Product Owner or AI product manager.

• Proven experience in high-stakes AI projects (industrialization, production, use case management).

• Knowledge of one or more business sectors (energy, industry, finance, transport, health…).

• Professional English required.

• PSPO certification would be a plus.

Data & AI

• Confirmed experience (3+ years) in Data Science / Machine Learning / Deep Learning / IAGen.

• Good understanding of AI project lifecycles: collection, preparation, training, evaluation, industrialization, and monitoring of drift management/anticipation.

• Mastery of key concepts of modern AI: generative models (LLM, RAG), NLP, computer vision, constrained optimization, explainable AI.

• Ability to discuss and challenge AI teams on frameworks (Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark, etc.).

• Knowledge of cloud AI tools (AWS Sagemaker/Bedrock, Azure ML/OpenIA, GCP Vertex AI).

• Understanding of industrialization challenges (MLOps) and associated tools (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

Product management & methodology

• Solid experience in agile management of AI / data projects (Scrum, Kanban and/or Safe).

• Strong ability to identify and frame business use-cases. Experienced in ideation workshops and detecting AI use cases.

• Ability to structure an AI roadmap and ensure backlog prioritization.

• Skills in business value analysis and impact measurement of AI models.

• Excellent communication skills with technical teams and business sponsors.

• Mastery of project management tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro, Azure Devops…

Regulation & governance

• Good knowledge of GDPR, Data Act / AI Act, and issues of responsible and explainable AI.

• Awareness of cybersecurity and data governance aspects.
