Solution Architect - ServiceNow

Department: Enabling Technology, Digital & Technology Platform Services Location: Egypt – New Cairo

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect - ServiceNow who will responsible for defining, governing, and assuring end-to-end solution architecture for ServiceNow products and value streams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise and platform architecture standards.The ideal candidate will translate business needs into coherent, implement solution designs spanning processes, data, integrations, security, and user experience. The Solution Architect works closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, product teams, and vendors to ensure high-quality outcomes across the product lifecycle.

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Solution Architecture & Design

• Define end-to-end ServiceNow solution architectures for assigned products and value streams, covering process, data, integration, security, and UX.

• Translate business and functional requirements into clear, implementable solution designs aligned with Enterprise Architecture and ServiceNow platform standards.

• Apply and validate platform architecture patterns and guardrails defined by the Platform Architect; escalate design decisions with platform-wide impact as required.

• Produce and maintain architecture artefacts, including:

  • Solution and component architecture diagrams
  • Integration and data flow diagrams
  • Data models and sequencing
  • Environment and security considerations

• Review and validate solution designs proposed by vendors and delivery teams, ensuring architectural integrity and reuse.

Product Lifecycle & Delivery Support

• Support Product Managers across the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap definition through delivery, release, and optimization.

• Contribute to backlog prioritization and PI planning by clarifying architectural dependencies, sequencing, and effort estimation.

• Define and validate non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, availability).

• Act as an architectural escalation point during delivery, supporting trade-off decisions between speed, cost, quality, and sustainability.

Platform Governance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure solution designs comply with Enterprise Architecture principles and ServiceNow platform standards.

• Participate in design reviews, quality gates, and go-live readiness assessments.

• Promote reuse, simplification, and standardization to reduce architectural and technical debt.

• Ensure solutions are operable, supportable, and aligned with platform reliability and availability objectives.

• Support DevSecOps practices and release management standards to enable reliable production releases.

• Integration & Data Architecture

• Design and govern solution-level integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers.

• Ensure consistency of solution data models with Enterprise and Platform data standards.

• Define integration and data flow designs that ensure reliability, traceability, and security.

• Collaborate with Platform Architecture on cross-solution integration patterns and data governance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted architectural advisor to Product Managers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams.

• Work closely with the Platform Architect to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform sustainability.

• Collaborate with ServiceNow Technical Leads and developers to ensure solution designs are correctly implemented.

• Partner with vendors to validate approaches and ensure compliance with agreed architectural principles.

• Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 4+ years of experience in solution architecture, platform architecture, or senior technical roles.

• Strong experience designing and delivering solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

• Hands-on exposure to ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, and custom applications.

• Experience working in complex, multinational environments with multiple stakeholders and vendors.

• Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts and integration patterns.

• Strong solution architecture expertise on the ServiceNow platform, including data models, integrations, security, and scalability.

• Hands-on experience designing and governing integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, MID Servers) and aligning solutions with Enterprise Architecture standards.

• Solid understanding of ITIL, service management processes, and DevSecOps / CI-CD delivery models.

• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into implementable solution designs.

• ServiceNow certifications preferred (CSA, Implementation Specialist, Application Developer) and/or Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF).
