Lead a High-Performing Manufacturing Team and Drive Process Excellence

Contract: maternity cover (approximately 2 years)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineer for our Beverage Technology Team to lead a critical production technology function within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role combines people leadership, operational excellence, and technical expertise, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing performance while leading a highly experienced team.

As a visible leader on the production floor, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of key technology processes, while driving continuous improvement and supporting long-term business objectives.

THE ROLE

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Technology department and manage a team of approximately 30 employees through 4 Shift Leaders/Lead Operators.

• Ensure the stable and efficient operation of production technology processes, including water treatment and syrup preparation systems.

• Monitor operational KPIs and drive performance through data-driven decision making.

• Lead process improvement and efficiency initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

• Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing operation.

• Manage operational challenges, escalations, and root cause analyses.

• Foster effective communication and collaboration across shifts and departments.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and service providers.

• Support a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee development.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant degree in chemical or food engineering

• Proven experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of production technologies and process-driven operations.

• Experience in water treatment, syrup preparation, brewing, pharmaceutical production, or similar industrial processes is an advantage.

• Experience in production, manufacturing, or process engineering roles.

• Previous people leadership experience is highly valued but not essential.

• Exposure to Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Lean, or process optimization initiatives is preferred.
