Overview

The Senior Software Engineer uses artificial intelligence tools and practices in the software development lifecycle. Understands customer and user requirements for a project, sub-section, or product. Leads discussions for architecture, solution and testing design hypotheses, developing complex specifications and creates test strategy for solution quality. Collaborates with internal teams to identify dependencies and reach common goals. Designs and develops scalable data processing solutions and data pipelines for large-scale Clarity and Shopping scenarios, with focus on data quality, performance, reliability, and efficiency. Writes code that is extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant. Uses debugging tools to verify assumptions and improve code quality. Reviews product code to ensure test coverage and adherence to standards, and drives automation for production deployment projects. Implements security standards to raise security hardening of solutions, ensuring each layer is independently secure.

Microsoft Clarity and Shopping operate at massive scale, processing large volumes of data to power rich product experiences and actionable insights for customers worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable distributed systems and large-scale data platforms across both product areas. You will tackle challenging engineering problems spanning data ingestion, processing, storage, and serving, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
