Expert
Arthur D. Little is the world's oldest strategy consultancy and has stood for strategic clarity, innovation, and real implementation power for over 140 years.
In our global Performance Practice, we support top management teams of international corporations in sustainably increasing productivity, resilience, and competitiveness. We focus on all value creation elements - from production to asset and lifecycle management to shared service functions - and take end-to-end responsibility for the success of our clients.
Our global Procurement & Supply Chain Team continues to grow. We are looking for experienced leaders who shape content, take responsibility, and create impact. Proven expertise, the ability to inspire people, and experience in managing project teams along defined goals are particularly important to us in this context.
As a Principal, you take on a leading role in challenging transformation and performance programs in the area of Procurement & Supply Chain:
You analyze, structure, and design complex issues along purchasing, supply chains, and operations – from strategic goal setting to concrete implementation.
You are responsible for content themes such as Operating Model Transformation (strategy, organization, processes, capabilities, digital, culture) in purchasing, cost and value contribution programs, resilient and sustainable supply chains, digitalization, AI-supported transformations, and supply-side innovation.
You develop clear hypotheses, robust decision logics, and implementable solutions – and lead them to impact with the client.
You take end-to-end ownership for content and results, even with unclear starting situations, time pressure, and complex stakeholder structures.
You lead discussions at eye level with top management and actively shape the content agenda with the client.
You further develop consulting approaches, methods, and solutions in the Procurement & Supply Chain Competence Center and incorporate them into projects and acquisitions.
You work closely with colleagues from the Performance Practice and the Industry Practices and combine strategic thinking with pragmatic implementation.
You professionally and personally develop younger colleagues and are perceived as a content sparring partner and mentor.
You actively participate in acquisition, offer development, and the expansion of our business.
This position is aimed at personalities who seek content ownership, motivate and develop teams, and create impact where the comfort zone ends:
Several years of experience in a strategy or management consultancy at Manager or Principal level.
Deep technical expertise or strong interest in Procurement, Supply Chain, and Performance topics.
Documented content experience in the technical design and application of AI-supported tools for purchasing, supply chain, and performance optimization.
Ability to quickly penetrate complex issues, structure them precisely, and bring them to a sharp point.
Enjoy taking responsibility and actively driving topics forward instead of waiting for perfect conditions.
Strong analytical thinking paired with a hands-on mentality.
Experience outside of consulting, a technical background, or industry expertise are welcome.
Excellent academic degree.
International experience and very good English skills (additional languages an advantage).
Motivation to sustainably develop topics, teams, and business.
Scope for design and responsibility in challenging projects with direct access to top management.
The opportunity to substantially shape topics – in projects, in competence building, and in market development.
Direct collaboration with experienced partners who support you and accompany your development - not only on projects.
An environment that promotes independent thinking, entrepreneurial action, and technical depth.
A structured induction phase with personal mentoring, training, and project shadowing.
Attractive compensation model (fixed salary + bonus).
Company pension scheme.
Mobility budget, company car, or BahnCard 100 (1st class).
Flexible vacation arrangements and hybrid working models.
Comprehensive global training, development, and coaching programs.
Active mentoring throughout the entire career.
An open, performance-oriented corporate culture with strong team cohesion.
Modern offices in Frankfurt and Munich.
We look forward to receiving your application!
