Company Description

We are looking for a Head of Growth / Head of Performance Marketing (f/m/x) to own paid acquisitions for wirkaufendeinauto.de and Autohero across Europe.

Your job is simple to describe and hard to execute: acquire the right sellers and the right buyers at a profitable cost.

We are looking for a hands-on growth leader who understands the customer journey, the economics and the platforms in depth — and can move from a European investment decision into an account-level performance problem without losing speed.

You will lead around 10 channel experts, with no intermediate management layer, and report directly to our VP Marketing. We expect you to know where the next Euro should go, what moved yesterday and what your team is doing about it today.

Job Description

• Run one growth engine for two businesses — lead paid acquisition across wirkaufendeinauto.de and Autohero and connect both sides of our flywheel: sourcing the right cars from private sellers and selling the right inventory to buyers

• Start with the customer — understand the selling and buying journeys end to end and translate customer intent, funnel behaviour and segment economics into channels, audiences, bidding and campaign architecture

• Know what moved and why — stay close to every major channel and market, challenge your experts in depth and personally step into the accounts when performance requires it; a volume or efficiency problem today needs an explanation and action today

• Know where the next Euro should go — combine CAC, Gross Profit, customer value, purchasing capacity and inventory into clear investment recommendations across brands, markets and channels

• Build an exceptional team of experts — lead around 10 channel owners directly, set clear accountability, challenge deeply, give direct feedback and develop people who can independently own their channel across Europe

• Build the next growth advantage — run a disciplined test-and-learn roadmap, push platforms for early access, challenge existing setups and use AI, scripts and automation to make the team smarter and faster without simply adding headcount

Qualifications

• You are a performance marketer at heart — 8+ years of hands-on experience and deep expertise across major paid platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok and other performance platforms, ideally across multiple markets and at significant scale

• You understand the business behind the click — customer journeys, conversion, CAC, inventory, capacity, unit economics and Gross Profit shape your decisions more than platform KPIs do

• You never left the engine room — account structures, bidding logic, audiences, feeds, tracking and experiments are still your language; your channel experts should expect you to understand and challenge their work in depth

• You turn data into decisions fast — when performance moves, you establish cause and effect, decide what needs to change and act rather than waiting for another reporting cycle

• You are a demanding people leader — you set a high bar, make ownership explicit, give direct feedback and develop strong independent experts; when performance isn't good enough, you address it

• AI-first, high ambition, high standards, low ego — you automate what should not be manual, challenge assumptions including your own and care more about finding the right answer than being right. Fluent English is mandatory

Additional Information

• One of our most important commercial levers — your decisions directly influence how many cars we source, how many we sell and at what economics

• Direct access to decision-making — work directly with our VP Marketing and shape major investment recommendations without unnecessary management layers

• Real complexity to solve — two businesses, multiple European markets, major advertising platforms, significant media investment and thousands of daily acquisition decisions

• A strong team with real ownership — lead around 10 channel experts who each own their area end to end across brands and markets

• Work in a highly international environment with colleagues from 90+ nationalities

• Flexible working hours, 30 days of vacation and a modern office just steps from Munich’s Englischer Garten — combining a central location with one of the city’s best spots right outside the door
