Job Description:

Leonardo is a global industrial group, among the main global players in Aerospace, Defence and Security that realises multi-domain technological capabilities in Helicopters, Aircraft, Aerostructures, Electronics, Cyber Security and Space. With over 60,000 employees worldwide, the company has a solid industrial presence in Italy, the UK, Poland and the US. A key player in major international strategic programmes, it is a technological and industrial partner of governments, defence administrations, institutions and companies.

Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners - together with British BAE Systems and Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries – in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), aimed at the development and production of a next-generation air system, defined as a ‘system of systems’. Used for multi-domain defence operations, the system is characterised by a ‘core platform’ connected with other piloted and uncrewed peripheral adjunct systems.

The programme, one of the most challenging and futuristic in the Aerospace and Defence industry, will lead the technological revolution that will shape the sector over the next fifty years. It is aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the involved countries, because it focuses on identifying and making available innovative enabling technologies that will ensure the generational leap, producing positive returns, as well as economic and social progress for the partners’ countries, benefitting the new generations.
