AI Transformation Lead

Country: Spain

IT STARTS HERE

Santander (www.santander.com) is evolving from a global, high-impact brand into a technology-driven organization, and our people are at the heart of this journey. Together, we are driving a customer-centric transformation that values bold thinking, innovation, and the courage to challenge what’s possible. This is more than a strategic shift. It’s a chance for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a real difference. Our mission is to contribute to help more people and businesses prosper. We embrace a strong risk culture and all our professionals at all levels are expected to take a proactive and responsible approach toward risk management.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

As our AI TRANSFORMATION LEAD, you will drive enterprise AI initiatives end-to-end, from defining the strategy and identifying high-impact use cases to the hands-on development, deployment, and scaling of AI solutions. This role brings together AI product leadership, technical architecture, and direct development. You will design, prototype, and scale AI systems, including Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions, AI agents, and automation workflows, delivering measurable value within a regulated banking environment. You will operate comfortably across both strategic and technical contexts: discussing ROI with executive stakeholders, defining system architectures with engineering teams, writing Python code, and developing high-quality prompts and evaluation pipelines.

The role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, helping transform promising AI opportunities into reliable, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
