Product Mgr II

Do you want to shape the future of customer-focused products?

Can you turn customer insight into product innovation?

Location: UK (London Wall)

About Our Team

Our team owns Identity and Access Management (IAM) for Elsevier. We're focused on making access to our products frictionless and secure — driving innovation and modern access solutions that make customer onboarding easier and authentication seamless, without compromising security. We work collaboratively across Product, Technology, Design, Data, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to solve real customer access challenges. We value curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement, and are committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.

About the Role

As a Product Manager II on our team, you will own one or more IAM product features and lead their discovery, specification, and delivery. You will act as the voice of the customer, using market insight, customer feedback, and data to identify opportunities and define solutions that make access and onboarding seamless — while meeting Elsevier's security and compliance bar. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive product specs for your feature area, execute against the roadmap, and keep your features running well day to day. This role is ideal for a product professional who enjoys combining customer insight, a user-centric approach and apply data-driven decision-making to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery and specs for several IAM product features through the product lifecycle — including cross-product functionality.

• Take ownership of roadmap definition for your area, turning priorities into a clear, sequenced development plan.

• Gather customer insights and translate them into product requirements and solutions.

• Use data, customer feedback, and market analysis to drive product decisions.

• Own ongoing product functionality go-to-market and support, including stakeholder communications for your product area

• Own how success metrics are defined and calculated, ensuring they reflect business outcomes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product enhancements.

• Prioritise customer issues, defects, and feature requests for resolution.

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity in the identity and access space to inform your product decisions.

Requirements

• Proven Product Management experience, typically with 4-6 years in a product-focused role.

• Experience owning products, features, or significant areas of product functionality.

• Strong customer focus with the ability to identify and solve customer problems.

• Demonstrated success delivering product improvements with measurable business impact.

• Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Experience working within Agile software development environments.

• Commercial awareness and understanding of product strategy and business objectives.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; a technical or business-related degree is preferred.

If you are interested in the role, please apply with a cover letter and CV.
