Senior Account Executive, Strategic Pursuits - Banking / Social Services, Hong Kong (Based in Singapore)

About Us

At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world’s largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World’s Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company.

At Cloudflare, we’re not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we’re looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you’re the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you’ll fit right in.

As an Account Executive (Strategic Pursuits), you will consistently demonstrate the highest level of sales mastery, ensuring highly accurate forecasting, strategic pipeline management, and consistently exceeding attainment targets. You will be a recognized industry authority, capable of contextualizing Cloudflare’s entire product suite within the broader security and business strategies of the largest enterprises. This role demands the ability to influence and engage at the highest executive levels, including CEOs, CFOs, and Board Members, while leading highly specialized virtual teams (VPs, SVPs, and cross-functional leaders) to proactively propose transformative new solutions and forge digital innovation partnerships that redefine industries.

What You'll Do

• Visionary Revenue & Business Model Creation: Architect and execute strategies to consistently exceed the most ambitious multi-million dollar sales targets and annual quotas, specializing in closing complex platform sales and pioneering new business models within highly strategic accounts.

• Precision Forecasting & Strategic Pipeline Leadership: Operate with unmatched accuracy in forecasting, proactively shaping and managing the strategic pipeline. Provide insights that set the stage for Cloudflare's future sales direction, influencing company-wide impact.

• Shape Enterprise Architecture & Business Models: Apply mastery in understanding and influencing customer Enterprise Architecture across all four pillars (business, data, applications, technology). Critically analyze and map these to business models, strategically positioning Cloudflare within and actively shaping modern cloud operating models.

• Ultimate Executive Engagement & Influence: Lead and orchestrate multiple, simultaneous, highly complex customer engagements across numerous business units. Expertly connect disparate needs to solidify platform sales and drive new business models. Proactively apply executive sponsorship programs, ensuring direct engagement and influence with CEOs, CFOs, and Board Members.

• Advanced Virtual Team Leadership & Solution Incubation: Lead highly specialized virtual teams, including VPs, SVPs, and cross-functional leaders, to proactively propose and incubate groundbreaking new solutions for customers. Guide these teams to learn from past experiences, shaping the future strategy for Cloudflare’s offerings.

• Digital Transformation & Industry Partnership Architect: Exhibit mastery in understanding the intricate nuances of digital transformation across banking, financial services technology, broadcasting and media, healthcare, logistics, and mobility ecosystems in Hong Kong and the wider region. Fully grasp the strategic challenges and opportunities organizations face. Expertly identify market shifts, emerging technologies, regulatory priorities, and industry-specific needs to construct pioneering digital innovation partnerships between Cloudflare and its customers, providing mutual benefit and advancing entire industries.

• Organizational Communication & Inspiration: Take highly complex information and distill it into clear, easy-to-understand language for broad audiences, both internal and external. Inspire others to learn from mistakes, foster continuous improvement, and take decisive action through ongoing coaching and feedback.

• Long-Term Strategic Stewardship: Consistently articulate how decisions will impact Cloudflare many years into the future, demonstrating a willingness to trade short-term gains for significant, long-term organizational benefit. Build unwavering trust by sharing learnings and exemplifying a “Cloudflare first” mentality, inspiring followership across the company.

• Operational Excellence & Business Model Innovation: Debunk the myth that choosing speed, quality, and price is limited to only two. Define Cloudflare's long-term strategy and quarterly objectives with clear, measurable results. Demonstrate a profound understanding of Cloudflare's business model and identify innovative ways to improve efficiency that impact the entire business, acting as a model for servant leadership.

• Continuous Learning & Industry Impact: Amass expert-level knowledge through continuous learning and an innovative mindset, serving as a model of humility and lifelong learning. Your insights and actions will directly influence broad or significant changes at Cloudflare and within the industry.

• Champion of Diversity & Inclusion: Actively improve the diversity of the company, demonstrating unparalleled leadership in inclusive practices and programs. Sponsor efforts that drive meaningful, systemic change in the way the company operates, truly being a source for good.

We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.

Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
