Why you'll enjoy this new opportunity

At Deloitte, our purpose is to make an impact that matters, and as an Internal Communications Assistant Manager, you will be at the heart of this mission within our dynamic Internal Communications team, primarily supporting the Tax & Legal and Enabling Areas functions.

This role presents a unique opportunity to not only manage critical internal messaging but also to elevate the function and contribute significantly to the strategic direction of internal communications across the firm.

You will be instrumental in shaping how our people connect with Deloitte's vision and values, working directly with senior leadership on high-impact initiatives. This is a high-energy role designed for a leader who thrives on autonomy, is eager to make a tangible difference, and is looking for a clear path for growth and succession within a close-knit, flat team structure.

Key skills and prior experience

To excel in this role, we are looking for a professional with:

• A very strong background in internal communications, demonstrating dedicated experience in the field.

• Proven leadership capabilities in people management, with a track record of leading and developing direct reports.

• The ability to "hit the ground running," quickly understanding complex business environments and integrating into a fast-paced corporate culture.

• Experience gained within large, complex organisations, ideally from the technology sector or other Big 4/6 professional services firms, will be highly advantageous.

Success in the Role

Success will be defined by your ability to:

• Seamlessly integrate into Deloitte's internal communications framework, effectively managing and delivering communications for your dedicated business unit.

• Proactively build and nurture a strong internal network within the Dublin office, fostering collaboration and understanding across various functions.

• Demonstrate effective leadership and development of your direct reports, ensuring their growth and the team's overall performance.

• Successfully engage with senior leadership, including direct contributions to communications strategies, and actively contribute to elevating the strategic impact of the internal communications function.

What type of work will I be doing?

• As an Internal Communications Manager, your work will be varied and impactful. You will be responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies for a specific business unit, ensuring alignment with Deloitte's overall objectives.

• Working closely with senior leadership to craft compelling messages, managing and mentoring direct reports, and actively participating in monthly strategic meetings.

• A portion of your time will be dedicated to building relationships and networking within the Dublin office to ensure effective communication flow and understanding. While specific time allocations will vary, you will have considerable autonomy in planning and executing your communication initiatives, guided by strategic objectives.

Who is the Hiring Manager?

• The hiring manager is a highly experienced leader who champions a collaborative and empowering management style.

• He believes in providing clear guide rails and strategic direction, but ultimately trusts his team members to own their plans and execution.

• He fosters a close-knit, flat team environment where initiative and innovation are highly valued.

• Looking for a high-energy individual who is keen to elevate the role and contribute to the long-term succession planning within the internal communications leadership team.

Where is this role based?

• This role is based in our vibrant Dublin office.

• We operate a hybrid working model, encouraging a presence of 1 to 2 days per week in the office. This allows for essential networking, collaboration, and participation in key meetings, including monthly sessions with Ita.
