The Global Marketing Engines and Experiences (GMEE) Data Engineering team is on a mission to deliver connected data ecosystem, leveraging world-class Microsoft technology to enable scale, increase data agility, and unlock breakthrough insights. We build data platforms that power our analysts, data scientists, ML engineers and business users to discover insights and make decisions faster. We also enable the integration of our data platform with edge tools for sales and marketing teams that deliver personalized and relevant experiences to our customers and prospects.

The Data Engineering team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the team to guide the development and evolution of a coherent, organization-wide portfolio of data capabilities for Relationship Marketing initiatives, enabling responsive, high-quality data for the business.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the end-to-end data architecture and data modeling for the GMEE Data Platform to create leverage through connected data capabilities

• Own the data capability roadmap for Relationship Marketing initiatives, engaging stakeholders across the organization and prioritizing areas of investment

• Define technical data requirements based on business specifications and run initial data discovery, analysis and conceptual modelling

• Coordinate with cross-domain data owners to integrate, leverage and enable access to data and ensure data handling and security requirements are understood and met

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, System Architects, Platform Engineers and Program Managers to implement successful solutions.

• Create data quality and monitoring models for key end to end data flows to ensure data reliability and issue visibility and responsiveness.

• Influence and negotiate with partner stakeholders for cross-team dependencies impacting roadmaps

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in big data technologies and principles including data architecture, modeling, design, data acquisition, and data delivery methodologies OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Additional or preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years’ experience big data technologies and principles including data architecture, modeling, design, data acquisition, and data delivery methodologies.

• 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

• Experience in big data architectures and principles including distributed data mesh concepts, modeling/schema design, data lakes, metadata, lineage, acquisition, and broad consumption patterns.

• Practical experience in data analysis and manipulation tools like SQL / Python

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders to ensure functional requirements and technical implementation considerations are understood and accepted.

• Proven track record of growing partnerships by forging a strong relationship with internal/external clients, understanding their objectives, and recommending best strategies.

• Comfortable making hard decisions using a blend of quantitative and qualitative inputs and thinking strategically with methodical execution.

• 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
