Lead Marketing Science Partner DACH ( m/f/d)

Position Summary

ESBO (European Service Business Organisation) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and determining new opportunities within the digital media and advertising industry with the goal of creating scalable services and businesses on top of the global footprint of European Samsung Smart TVs. The EU advertising team is working to add new value for partners, advertisers, and agencies through its unique insights into TV viewership in the shifting media landscape!

We are looking for a person who likes early stage opportunities and would like to join a rapidly growing team to help define the next chapter within a nascent hyper growth advertising business.

The successful candidate will be working agile from our office in the heart of Düsseldorf, home office (up to two days a week) and with frequent trips to the Samsung Ads office in London and clients within Germany.

As Lead Marketing Science Partner, you will be responsible for owning end-to-end delivery of strategic insight projects, establishing best practice frameworks, and setting the bar for excellence in how Samsung Ads demonstrates value for advertisers within the DACH region.

Role and Responsibilities

• Owning analytics support and measurement strategy for content houses, brands and media agencies in the DACH region–building trusted relationships with senior brand and agency stakeholders, driving account revenue in deep collaboration with the DACH Sales team, as well as positioning Samsung Ads as a thought leader in measurement and effectiveness.

• Leverage your relationships with our biggest clients to identify their unmet needs, and work directly with the broader Analytics team, Product Marketing, and Engineering to test and develop new products that drive client spend.

• Lead flagship projects covering analytics and measurement, delivering insights that directly shape investment decisions of our largest clients.

• Intersect industry trends, direct client feedback, and Samsung data to drive innovation in measurement approaches across CTV and mobile, identifying new methods to evaluate campaign effectiveness and media value – requiring heavy internal cross-functional collaboration to bring to market.

• Ongoing management of media & insights partnerships, particularly JICs.

• Able to manipulate and translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for senior decision-makers, both internally and externally.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of insights with Samsung’s broader strategic and commercial goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in media insights, advertising effectiveness, or marketing science, with a strong record of delivering senior client-facing projects and deep partnership with high-performing sales teams to service client needs.

• Excellent communication skills in English and German.

• Familiarity with CTV, digital and/or TV media landscape in the DACH region.

• Experience with ad measurement capabilities and methodologies such as viewability, attention, brand lift, sales lift, conversion lift, MMM, etc.

• Commercially-minded with a demonstrated ability to own and influence high-profile client relationships at agency and brand leadership levels through measurement-centric thought leadership, A/B testing, experimentation, and building measurement learning agenda frameworks.

• Strong understanding of TV industry measurement standards and methodologies. Familiarity with JICs and experience working with cutting edge media measurement and currency partners to customize and implement their offerings within the DACH region.

• Assist in the formulation of a Samsung Ads point-of-view on media measurement, which may include the creation of presentations, white papers, and work on industry committees to ensure Samsung Ads is seen as a thought leader in the media measurement space within the DACH region.

• Advanced analytical and technical skills (SQL, R, Python, econometrics, statistics) with the ability to apply these tools to scalable frameworks, not just one-off analyses. Ideal candidate must be adept in this area given the heavy use of Samsung’s first-party, proprietary datasets.

• Proven experience in creating frameworks, repeatable processes, or methodologies that raise the standard for an analytics & research function.

• Excellent communication skills: ability to simplify complexity and influence senior stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations.

• A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, drive innovation, and deliver impact at scale.

What does success look like?

• You are deeply embedded in the rhythms of the DACH sales team and they recognise you as the go-to lead for our largest and most commercially important client engagements within the region.

• Your insights and strategic guidance are seen as indispensable by the DACH sales team and senior clients and agencies, directly influencing strategy and investment decisions on Samsung Ads.

• You play a visible role in industry conversations and internal strategy, ensuring Samsung Ads remains a leader in measurement and effectiveness.

• You set the benchmark for quality, clarity, and impact in all analytical outputs, raising the standard across the wider team.

• You are able to generate insights that can directly influence advertiser investment decisions, as well as influence internal stakeholders to build or enhance ways of working.

• You create scalable processes, tools, and methodologies that improve efficiency and consistency for the entire analytics function.
