Job Description:

Within the Space Division, in the Opto-Mechanical & Thermal Engineering Organizational Unit, we are looking for a Thermal Analyst for our Nerviano (MI) office.

The person will work as a Thermal Analyst for the Space Division programs, particularly for all projects of the Robotics & Equipment Business Area.

The person will be responsible for:

• Carrying out architectural, steady-state, and transient thermal analyses to demonstrate the compliance of the thermo-mechanical design with environmental loads due to the orbital thermal environment.

• Will be coordinated by the thermo-structural architects who manage the design of the programs and will also interface with the client's technicians.

• Following thermal cycling tests in vacuum and correlation tests (Thermal Balance Test), valid for the development, qualification, and acceptance of the instrument, ensuring a suitable setup for the purpose and interfacing with other departments that manage facilities and instrument AIT.

Educational Qualification:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering.

Required Experience Level:

• Junior: 1-3 years of experience in the role

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Expertise in thermo-mechanical discipline;

• Expertise in thermal verification (e.g., thermal modeling, thermal analysis, thermal testing).

Behavioral Skills:

Language Skills:

• English (min. B2 level)

Computer Skills:

• Windows, Office suite,

• CATIA V5,

• Altair Suite (Hypermesh, Hyperview, etc.) for FEM thermal analysis,

• ESATAN/THERMICA SYSTEMA/THERMAL DESKTOP for thermal analysis with finite difference models.

Other:

• Availability for short national and international business trips is required.

How does the selection process work?
