Senior QA Automation Engineer

TXT e-Swiss, a company of the TXT e-solutions Group – Global Digital Enabler – based in Lugano, supports the main realities of the Swiss market in the development of advanced digital solutions, covering the entire software engineering lifecycle.

For strategic projects in banking IT, we are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a team dedicated to the quality of complex application systems.

The Role

You will join a structured QA team, contributing to the quality of critical software platforms through a modern approach based on automation and continuous integration.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable and reusable test automation frameworks

• Automate tests on APIs (REST), backend services, and enterprise applications

• Integrate tests within CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent)

• Collaborate with development and architecture teams in microservices and distributed systems contexts

• Contribute to the definition of the test strategy and the adoption of quality by design practices

• Execute functional and integration tests, quickly identifying anomalies and bottlenecks

Who we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience in software testing in the IT sector

• Concrete experience in test automation on web applications, APIs, and backend systems

• Excellent knowledge of tools like Selenium, SoapUI / Postman, JMeter

• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)

• Knowledge of one or more languages among Java, Python, JavaScript, or Groovy

• Good knowledge of databases (SQL)

• Fluent Italian and at least B2 English

• Strong quality orientation and problem-solving approach

Nice to have

• Experience in banking / fintech

• ISTQB certification

• Experience with microservices / container architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Knowledge of Robot Framework

• Experience in performance testing
