If you want to help organizations industrialize data & AI at scale, with quality and governance by design, then this role as Quality Engineering Architect – Data & AI Enablement is for you.

You will work in a context where one operating model is leading (standards, templates, guardrails), and where CI/CD is the only route to production. You ensure that quality is not an “extra step,” but a built-in capability in platform and delivery.

Your role in our team As a Quality Engineering Architect, you are the anchor point for Quality Engineering within data and AI trajectories. You connect architecture and implementation, and take the step from “best practices” to concrete, reusable patterns that teams can truly adopt.

You will be involved in, among other things:

• Designing Quality Engineering and AI assurance standards for data and AI solutions (quality gates, test strategies, assurance patterns)

• Defining and implementing CI/CD integrations for reliable releases of data pipelines, models, and (agentic) AI capabilities

• Defining evaluation, non-regression, and release criteria for models, prompts, and agentic AI flows

• Setting up non-regression and evaluation approaches (quality of outputs, consistency, reproducibility, traceability)

• Advising on testability, observability, and SLO-driven operations (monitoring, logging, audit trails)

• Collaborating with platform, data, and AI teams on paved roads / golden paths and reusable templates

• Coaching engineers and teams: enablement-first (“builders, not policemen”)

• Contributing to presales/bid trajectories: positioning, approach, deliverables, and quality

How you strengthen our team You are a strategic thinker with a strong engineering background. You have persuasive power, work structured, and engage teams in the “how” and “why” of quality by design.

What you bring:

• HBO/WO work and thinking level, preferably with an IT/engineering background

• Extensive experience with test automation / quality engineering in modern delivery environments (Agile/DevOps)

• Experience with CI/CD and embedding quality controls (pipelines, checks, gates)

• Knowledge of software quality (security, reliability, maintainability) and how to make it measurable

• Affinity with data & AI lifecycle (evaluation, monitoring, explainability, auditability), without needing to be a data scientist

• Strong communication skills: you can explain standards and make them land with both engineers and stakeholders (Dutch and English)

• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services) is a plus

Plus points:

• Experience with platform enablement (golden paths, paved roads, IDP concepts)

• Experience with governance/compliance requirements (DORA, AI Act, privacy)

• Experience with observability and SRE concepts (SLOs, incident learnings, operational readiness)

• Experience with AI assurance/evaluation techniques

In this role, you will work closely with the Emerging Technologies department, where new data and AI technologies are explored and validated. Together with this department, you will assess technical feasibility and impact, and ensure that promising innovations are developed into robust, scalable solutions that can be widely deployed within organizations.
