Regulatory Business Analyst - MiFID II

Position Description:

As part of an engagement with one of our clients, CGI is looking for a Regulatory Business Analyst specialising in MiFID II.

The purpose of the assignment is to enhance the bank’s MiFID regulatory framework to support the distribution of related products, particularly Private Assets and Evergreen products, in compliance with the applicable regulations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

You will be involved in the following activities:

• Analysing the required changes to the MiFID framework

• Defining the questions to be added to the MiFID II questionnaire as part of the appropriateness assessment

• Defining the controls associated with appropriateness and suitability testing

• Contributing to controls carried out at transaction level and during periodic reviews

• Supporting the implementation of concentration and diversification tests

• Contributing to the enhancement of regulatory reporting provided to clients

• Working on suitability statements, periodic suitability reports and management reports

• Translating business requirements into clear specifications for technical teams

• Working closely with developers, testers and architects

• Participating in Agile ceremonies and activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You have solid experience as a Regulatory Business Analyst, ideally between seven and ten years, subject to confirmation of the client’s final requirements.

You have strong knowledge of:

• The MiFID regulatory framework

• Client profiling and assessment

• Suitability and appropriateness principles

• Controls performed when securities orders are placed

• Regulatory reporting provided to clients

• Translating business requirements into specifications for technical teams

• Working in an Agile environment, including user stories and related ceremonies

You demonstrate:

• Strong analytical skills when dealing with complex topics

• The ability to explain technical and regulatory concepts clearly

• The ability to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders

• A strong sense of priorities

• Adaptability in a changing environment

Languages Fluent French and English, both written and spoken
