IT Systems Architect

Position Description:

We are looking for an IT Systems Architect to join our architecture team delivering one of the largest IT transformation programmes for the public sector.

We are building the Integrated IT System for the National Health Fund (NFZ) a comprehensive solution supporting the Fund's key areas of operation. This is a long term, extensive programme involving the development of a range of interconnected systems and services designed to address the organisation's diverse business needs.

The project is being delivered in cooperation with multiple software and IT service providers. As the Integrator, we are responsible for the consistency and quality of the overall solution architecture, supporting the integration of individual systems, ensuring software quality, and preparing the solutions for ongoing maintenance and operation.

We are looking for someone with a solid technical background who wants to develop their expertise in architecture while working on the design of complex, large scale IT systems of major importance.

We prefer a hybrid working model at one of our offices in Warsaw, Krakow, or Poznan. Remote working is also possible.

Job responsibilities:

• Working as part of the IT Systems Architecture team and collaborating closely with the Enterprise Architect, Business Analysts, and other teams involved in the delivery of the programme.

• Overseeing IT solution architecture documentation, ensuring its quality, consistency, and compliance with architectural standards.

• Reviewing documentation and solutions delivered by external vendors and providing recommendations regarding the architecture of designed systems and the selection of appropriate technologies.

• Participating in Architecture Board activities and supporting decision-making processes related to IT systems architecture and technology implementation.

• Creating, developing, and maintaining high-level architecture documentation and ensuring it remains up to date in response to evolving business needs and the changing technology landscape.

• Supporting project teams in developing consistent, scalable, and maintainable architectural solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Knowledge of UML notation and experience in documenting IT systems architecture, particularly using Sparx Enterprise Architect.

• A good understanding of modern system architecture approaches, including microservices architecture and container-based solutions.

• Excellent command of Polish, both written and spoken.

• ArchiMate Foundation and/or TOGAF 9 certifications would be an advantage.
