Position Description:

CGI Business Consulting, a management and transformation consulting firm, supports major players in the energy and utilities sector in their business, digital, and IT transformation projects.

CGI Business Consulting assists large organizations in the design and deployment of critical Data platforms, central to their digital and SI transformations. In complex environments with high stakes in data quality, governance, and urbanization, we are looking for a Tech Lead MDM, capable of designing robust architectures, framing market MDM solutions, and technically leading their implementation. You will act as a technical and Data architect reference, working closely with IT teams, Data Engineers, publishers, and integrators, while maintaining a strong dialogue capacity with business teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Tech Lead MDM, you are responsible for the technical coherence, robustness, and scalability of Data / MDM systems.

Data & MDM Architecture (central role)

• Design target Data architectures including:

  • MDM solutions,
  • Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Platform,
  • Batch and real-time flows

• Define MDM architecture patterns:

  • registry / hub / coexistence / centralized
  • golden record, survivorship, versioning

• Design logical and physical data models

• Define integration flows (API, ETL/ELT, events) between MDM and existing IS

• Guarantee the scalability, performance, and resilience of architectures

Framing and implementing MDM solutions

• Technically frame the implementation of market-leading MDM solutions, such as:

  • Informatica MDM / Informatica IDMC
  • Semarchy xDM
  • SAP MDG
  • Talend MDM
  • TIBCO EBX (or equivalent solutions)

• Participate in tool selection phases: benchmark, POC, comparative analyses

• Define development, integration, and naming standards

• Secure technical choices regarding IS constraints (legacy, ERP, cloud, security)

Data quality, governance, and security

• Design Data Quality mechanisms integrated into MDM (rules, controls, alerts)

• Define traceability, auditability, and lineage mechanisms

• Integrate GDPR, security, authorization, and access management requirements

• Contribute to the tooling and industrialization of Data governance

Technical leadership & leadership role

• Technically lead implementation teams (internal and partners)

• Challenge technical proposals from integrators and publishers

• Secure critical phases: detailed design, integration, load increase

• Be responsible for the technical quality of deliverables

Contribution to CGI

• Provide technical leadership on Data / MDM topics

• Act as a technical expert in pre-sales and bid responses

• Contribute to the capitalization of Data standards, patterns, and best practices

• Develop the skills of junior Data consultants and architects

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bac+5 degree (Engineering school, Computer Science / Data Master), you have at least 7 to 10 years of experience in Data Architect, Tech Lead or MDM Expert roles, ideally in consulting firms or on complex IT systems.

Key technical skills

• Advanced expertise in Master Data Management:

  • Modeling, governance, golden record
  • Integration and synchronization strategies

• In-depth knowledge of at least one leading MDM solution (Informatica, Semarchy, SAP, Talend, EBX…)

• Solid experience in Data architectures:

  • DWH, Data Lake, Data Platform
  • Batch & real-time

• Very good understanding of hybrid cloud environments

• Ability to communicate with:

  • IS Architects,
  • Infrastructure teams,
  • Developers and data engineers

• Professional English (B2 minimum – C1 appreciated)
