Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a System Architect – Application Development, you will take a key role in shaping system and software architectures for complex IT environments. You will work closely with Product Owners, technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders, translating business and technical requirements into sustainable architecture solutions. The role offers a high degree of independence and ownership, giving you the opportunity to influence architectural decisions and contribute to the continuous development of the overall IT landscape.

• Taking ownership of system specifications and driving key architectural decisions

• Designing and evolving system and software architectures, including microservices-based solutions

• Developing target and solution architectures aligned with business processes and the existing IT landscape

• Supporting the Product Owner in defining, structuring, and prioritizing the technical team's work

• Advising IT projects and stakeholders on system and software architecture

• Supporting the integration of new solutions and legacy systems through complex interfaces

• Identifying opportunities to further develop and optimize the overall IT architecture

• Providing architectural guidance and transferring knowledge to technical teams

• Initiating and leading discussions with IT architects, developers, technical specialists, team leads, management, business architects, and business analysts

• Ensuring architectural decisions consider security, maintainability, scalability, integration, and long-term business value

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• German C1

• Master’s degree in IT or a related field

• 5+ years in software development and architecture

• Strong Java/Spring and microservices experience

• Experience with DDD, OOAD, and UML

• Knowledge of Apache Camel and integration patterns

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3

• Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL

• Experience with Linux and Windows

• Understanding of IT Security, ITIL, and Project Management

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
