Job Description

A meaningful opportunity for a new graduate is an opportunity to do more than gain experience — it’s a chance to contribute to something that matters.

At ACCIONA, our recent graduates contribute to major sustainable infrastructure projects that shape our communities and make a lasting impact.

It’s work you can see and be proud of — transformative infrastructure that people and communities rely on every day, and that you can point to and say, “I helped bring that to life.”

Emerging talent is an important part of our future. We invest in programs that give students and early-career professionals the opportunity to take what they’re learning in the classroom and apply it to real-world projects, while gaining meaningful experience, learning from experienced professionals and building the skills that will help shape their careers.

ACCIONA is a global company, operating in more than 40 countries with over 68,000 employees worldwide. We deliver sustainable infrastructure that has a meaningful impact on the communities we work in and the environment. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects while gaining exposure to different areas of the industry and discovering where your interests and strengths can take you.

With opportunities across technical, construction and project delivery, systems, functional and corporate areas, there are many ways to explore your interests, build your experience, and see how different disciplines come together to deliver major sustainable infrastructure.

You’ll have:

• Exposure to different stages and aspects of the project life cycle, with opportunities to see how major infrastructure projects come together.

• Opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and leaders across the business, gaining insight into different disciplines, career paths and areas of expertise.

• Real-world exposure to major infrastructure projects, helping you better understand the complexity, collaboration and decision-making involved in bringing them from concept to delivery.

• Access to learning, development and other emerging talent opportunities, which may include training, professional development initiatives and other programs available through ACCIONA.

• Opportunities to connect and build your network beyond your day-to-day role, including with colleagues, leaders and other emerging talent across different teams, projects and areas of the business.

• The opportunity to explore different areas of the business. Where possible, we want emerging talent to gain broad exposure, discover what interests them and better understand where they may want to build their careers.

Gain hands-on experience on real-world construction and infrastructure projects with a company that is invested in your growth, your experience and your future.

Main Responsibilities:

One of the things that makes a new graduate position at ACCIONA unique is the opportunity to gain real-world experience on major infrastructure projects and see how different teams and disciplines come together to deliver them.

Depending on your role and project, you could find yourself working in construction and project delivery, technical or engineering areas, systems, corporate or functional roles, and many other areas that support the delivery of major infrastructure.

Your experience will be shaped by your role, your team and the project you join. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, build practical skills, make connections and gain a better understanding of the different career paths available within the infrastructure industry.

Required Skills and Competencies

We’re looking for recent graduates who are ready to continue their education in the field, and want to get involved and make an impact. You don’t need to have it all figured out — we care about your mindset, your willingness to learn and what you bring to the team.

Things We Look For:

• Curiosity, an openness to learning and a willingness to ask questions and try new things.

• Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills that will help you contribute to your team.

• People who are comfortable working in a dynamic project environment, where priorities can change quickly and no two days are exactly the same.

• And importantly, good people who want to do good work with other good people and contribute positively to the teams, projects and communities around them.

A Few Final Things:

At ACCIONA, we want our emerging talent to have a meaningful experience — one where you can learn, contribute, build relationships and start developing the skills that will support you throughout your career. We’re proud of the work we do and just as proud of the people behind it.

This role offers a base salary of $76,500, along with additional programs and benefits, including:

• 4 weeks paid vacation

• Employer-paid health benefits including health spending account

• Eligible for our annual Bonus program, up to 5% of your base salary

• Eligible for our RRSP-matching program after 6 months of continuous employment with ACCIONA.

• Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), providing confidential access to counselling, wellness resources and other support for employees and eligible dependents, with premiums paid by ACCIONA

• Access to learning, development and emerging talent programs and opportunities.
