Head of Product, Growth & Lifecycle / Lounge by Zalando (all genders)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM Are you a visionary product leader passionate about consumer growth and shaping the entire customer journey? Lounge by Zalando is our off-price shopping club, serving millions of members across 20+ European markets. We are looking for a Head of Product to own our growth engine, taking responsibility for the complete user journey, from the very first ad impression to cultivating a loyal customer.

Reporting to the Director in Lounge Tech, you will lead a highly capable, multidisciplinary organization consisting of Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Product Analysts, and Product Designers across multiple squads. The systems you and your team build are the lifeblood of our acquisition strategy, managing substantial marketing investments and generating a significant portion of our new members. If you are excited by deeply automated platforms, leveraging AI for marketing, and building a world-class consumer growth product, this role is for you.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Own the Growth Journey: Define and execute the product strategy for user acquisition, registration, activation, and long-term retention (CLV).

• Lead a Multidisciplinary Org: Empower and grow a diverse team of PMs while fostering deep, structured partnerships with Engineering, Design, and Analytics to ensure cohesive product delivery.

• Drive Experimentation & Impact: Champion a robust experimentation culture. You will guide your teams in utilizing A/B testing, incrementality measurement, and KPI driver trees to make data-informed product decisions.

• Shape the Future of MarTech & AI: Oversee a complex platform estate that integrates with advanced CRM/messaging platforms and CDPs. You will help lead our 2026 mandate to bring autonomous AI/ML marketing agents and deep personalization into production.

• Balance Strategy with Customer Empathy: Maintain a relentless focus on solving genuine customer problems, ensuring that our growth systems add real value to the shopping experience.

• Partner with Executive Leadership: Act as a key strategic voice within Lounge by Zalando, successfully communicating complex product visions and commercial outcomes to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

• Define the Customer Communication Strategy: Lead the vision and product evolution of our customer engagement platform, optimizing our email and push notification channels to drive meaningful connections and improve customer lifetime value.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• Consumer Growth Expertise: You have an impressive track record as a product leader in a consumer marketplace, e-commerce, subscription, or mobility space. You understand the dynamics of a paid-acquisition funnel, registration walls, and the retention economy.

• Metric-Driven Leadership: You have directly owned and moved the needle on core funnel metrics (signup rates, activation, CLV/CAC). You can clearly articulate how your product strategies resulted in measurable business growth.

• Multidisciplinary Management: You have experience successfully managing Product Managers and working in tight orchestration with Engineering Managers, Designers, and Analysts at scale.

• Technical & MarTech Fluency: You are comfortable working alongside technical teams on CRM/messaging platforms (e.g., Braze, Salesforce), CDPs, and tracking basics. Previous experience shipping AI/ML-powered personalization or automation is a strong advantage.

• Strategic Communication: You possess excellent executive-level communication skills in English, with the ability to structure complex arguments, secure buy-in for investments, and navigate a scaled, matrixed environment.

• Note: Off-price or fashion domain knowledge is a bonus, but your expertise in product growth and customer journeys is what matters most.
