SOC Analyst (Intermediate Level)

Description of the position

We are looking for a SOC (Intermediate Level) Analyst to strengthen cybersecurity operations and incident management within the Security Operations Center. The person in this role will be responsible for researching advanced alerts, performing event analysis, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of detection and response processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Investigation and validation of alerts scaled from Level 1

• Event correlation on SIEM/XDR platforms (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Cortex XDR, Microsoft Defender, Azure)

• Basic threat hunting and initial forensic analysis

• Ticket tracking with vendors and coordinating with IT teams

• Detailed documentation of security incidents and mitigation recommendations

• Support in improving detection rules and response playbooks

• Mentoring and training for Level 1 analysts

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networks, protocols and operating systems (Windows/Linux/MacOS).

• Security console management: CrowdStrike, Defender, Cortex XDR, Splunk, SocRadar.

• Query scripting management for security tools (FQL, KQL, XQL, etc.)

• Capacity for critical analysis and contextualization of events.

• Use of basic scripts (Python, PowerShell) for automation.

• Intermediate-advanced technical English for documentation and communication with vendors.

Required Experience:

• 2 to 4 years in security operation or systems administration.

• Previous experience in SIEM/XDR monitoring and incident response.

• Desirable participation in threat hunting projects, malware analysis or basic forensic analysis.

• Experience in ticket management and coordination with suppliers.
