Data Engineer

Reale ITES, established on January 1, 2015, represents Reale Mutua Group's first transnational venture, aiming to be a center of excellence specializing in IT services, as summarized by the acronym ITES, which stands for Information Technology Engineering Services.

A company born within a consolidated reality with a long history behind it and a challenging path ahead.

A reality born from the idea of bringing together men and women from Italy and Spain to create a unique IT platform and leverage all the synergies necessary for a group like Reale Mutua Group.

In the working world, IT has become a strong competitive factor for all companies, and Reale ITES's mission is to improve information processes, provide simple and fast operational possibilities, increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, with the aim of giving the end customer an excellent product and the Group an additional competitive element.

To represent this reality, a GEIE (European Economic Interest Grouping) was initially created with a primary office in Turin and a secondary office in Madrid, with approximately 450 employees, 330 located in the Turin offices and 120 in Madrid.

Objective:

• Works with data analysts and data architects in order to collaborate in creation, optimization, scaling data products and analytical assets; as well as maintain and improve the analytical platform.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain key data flows in serverless frameworks.

• ETL logic in frameworks such as DataFactory and SparkSQL.

• Adaptors between systems in frameworks such as Lambda architecture.

• HTTP API logic in frameworks such as Lambda architecture.

• Write and maintain SparkSQL and Python data querying, aggregation and filtering code in SQL and Python.

• Contribute to data schema structure and ensure adherence.

• QA data as it comes into and out of our systems.

Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of serverless cloud architecture principles.

• 2 + year experience writing test-driven Python in an agile environment.

• 2 + year experience implementing ETL flows using both file and API sources.

• Experience in work development under agile methodology

• Experience with complex SQL SELECT queries, including sub-queries, case statements and UNION.

• Experience implementing HTTP REST APIs.

• Knowledge of data structuring and schema best practices and standards.

• Experience with data science techniques in Python or R.

• Experience with development tools like DevOps.

• Experience with visualization tools like PowerBI.

• Familiarity with other visualization tools like SAP Business Object, Qlik, Tableau, IBM Cognos

• Solid SQL database skills necessary to query and analyze data.
