Avvale is looking for a Senior Data Scientist
Role and position
We are looking for a Data Scientist (AI & GenAI Architect) who will focus primarily on the design and development of AI solutions, with a strong vertical focus on Generative AI solutions that rely on LLM (Large Language Models) capabilities.
Requirements and skills
Hard Skills & Technical Expertise:

GenAI & LLMs: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Generative AI technologies and Large Language Models (including concepts such as RAG, LLM orchestration, and agentic architectures).

Classical AI & Machine Learning (ML): Deep understanding of classical AI approaches and machine learning models, with the ability to assess when to prioritize them over GenAI.

Python: Strong proficiency in Python and the core frameworks/libraries dedicated to AI and Data Science.

Experience: At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in the role.
Soft Skills & Personal Attributes:

Solution Design & Reasoning: Strong logical and strategic thinking skills to "design" high-level solution architectures (from A to B), focusing on the overall project rather than pure coding.

Client-Oriented Mindset: Excellent communication skills to interface with clients, gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (essential for our international context).

In line with our commitment to transparency and people development, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position ranges between €31.000 and €44.000, commensurate with experience and skills. The position is covered by the 'CCNL Commercio e Terziario' (National Collective Labor Agreement for Commerce and Service Sector), alongside a benefits package that includes meal vouchers, wellbeing initiatives (including Wellhub), and growth opportunities.
