Primary responsibilities of Global Growth Navigator & Business Analytics role (L09) includes end-to-end partnership with global insights, FP&A, commercial (RGM) to deliver on data & analytics for retail performance tracking and ad-hoc business questions pertaining to market position, share, growth drivers, brand diagnostics. The role will also be responsible for supporting to embed growth navigator across top markets, driving digital transformation agenda and be a strong linkage to support new commercial RGM team with analytics input
The role will lead a small team of one Analyst, but remain the key POC for team’s output quality, periodic and on-demand performance reviews, addressing ad-hoc requests based on internal and external data sources, to bring out deep and holistic insights from retail data, consumer panel data to identifying emerging trends, recognizing growth drivers, diagnosing barriers and hurdles to be removed, and flagging risks pertaining to competition, market share, forecast etc.
Partner with PLI Global Insights, FP&A for performance reporting scorecards end to end for Global top markets.
Identify business questions to be answered, macro trends, category/ competitor movements, and overall portfolio/ segment/ brand performance based on syndicated retail data and consumer panel data received from partner agencies.
Deliver global capabilities agenda on Growth Navigator performance reviews with analytics focus on codifying distribution/POS levers, growth navigator modelling to enhance the framework application
Partner and act as a connection point to commercial RGM GCC team to provide analytical inputs to measure in market performance promotions and PPA actions.
Use alternative sources for data gaps and leverage cross-functional learnings to incorporate considerations beyond retail data into reporting.
Ensure good commentary and storytelling to explain business performance, drivers, optimization opportunities, and the key insights to action.
Provide responses to ad-hoc follow-ups when double-click required with tables/charts/stories using relevant data
Responsible for individual optimal utilization of time and delivering on agreed timelines and scope.
Monitor and act upon regular feedback inputs from deliverables end-users and Business Partners
Bring in best practices/capabilities and collaborate with GCC capability teams to enhance and evolve partnership model
Maintain regular comms and governance with key stakeholders, keeping all updated on project plan, workflow monitoring, quality checks, challenges to fix, changes to manage.
Deliver defined digital transformation agenda for Global performance tracking needs.
Leverage global/ regional synchronization efforts to drive simplification and digitization
Build and manage long term partnerships with external vendors/ data suppliers to support business intelligence needs and ensure contingency/action plans when dissatisfactory results arise
Establish safeguards and quality checks to ensure quality and consistency, e.g. regular trend-watch to identify and address potential trend breaks.
Coach and on- board new members of the team in ways of working and processes.
Lead E2E performance and career management of the team
Manage of a team of one analysts, ensuring team performance, engagement, and development plans.
Education: Masters in Economics, Maths/ Statistics, Marketing/ Management/ Business Administration
Min 9-10 years functional experience in Market Research/ Consumer Insights/ Data Analytics/ Management Consulting, with significant exposure to CPG industry (business, consumer insights, brand strategy)
Quant data & analytics savvy: Hands-on knowledge on Nielsen/IRI retail/POS, Kantar/GFK HH panel, Global Data, Euromonitor. Nielsen/Circana retail POS and Kantar/GFK/Numerator HH Panel is must have skill set needed for this role
Min 4-6 years functional consultative experience (not data scientists) in advanced modeling on POS (regression modelling, cluster analyses, segmentation, price & promotion effectiveness/optimization modelling, distribution/perfect stores analytics etc.)
Experience in working in CPG and Food & Beverage industry
Experience managing global/ intermational projects and global stakeholder.
Experience in matrix-set up/ MNCs a bonus.
Team management experience of 2-4 yrs leading small teams of 2-4 individuals
Excellent business communication skills – spoken and written.
Structured thinker / problem solver who works independently and has the ability to look for creative/out of the box solutions.

Multicultural stakeholder management skills in a matrix organisation
