Técnico/a Operación y Urgencias Centro de Control de Distribución (Barcelona)

The Gas Spain Networks business is responsible for the distribution of natural gas and renewable gas and operates nationwide (Spain). As a distribution company, it is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of more than 53,800 km of gas network to which more than 5.4 M supply points are connected in almost 1,150 municipalities. The main activities carried out are: commissioning, meter reading, periodic inspection and emergency response. Our purpose is to be an active agent of decarbonization and a key player in the country's energy transition.

Mission:

Supervision of the tasks entrusted in the shift; both in the real-time operation of the gas transport and distribution network, and in the management of emergency resolution on the networks and receiving facilities of users in order to guarantee correct exploitation and continuity of service, in accordance with the Operations Plans and current regulations, in addition to optimizing available resources.

The challenges of your day-to-day will be focused on:

• You will work in three areas: Emergencies, Operations and service desk

• Attend calls received (or the different entry points of communication to the Control Center), collecting the necessary information from the interlocutors, in accordance with the established criteria and procedures, to classify the priority of action and classify the received notices based on their importance, to guarantee their resolution and within the established times, always in the P1 and P2 scope (emergency and urgent notices with a commitment to security or continuity of supplies in networks and facilities)

• Assign the received notices to the corresponding teams, depending on the availability and proximity of these to the place of the incident, transmitting the information they need for their resolution.

• Carry out daily monitoring of the operation of the Natural Gas Transport and Distribution Network, analyzing its key parameters to ensure that they comply with those established in the Operations Plans, as well as detecting possible deviations and acting to correct them, mobilizing resources if necessary.

• Collaborate in the management of information from the Natural Gas Transport and Distribution Network collected by SCADA and other supervision applications. Actively participating, in coordination with other Exploitation units, for the updating of said information, according to the needs of exploitation and real-time operation.

• Control the correct functioning of communication and telecontrol systems, as well as collaborate in their maintenance, with the aim of ensuring that network information is received at all times and that its elements can be acted upon when required.

• Control access to the facilities, detecting possible cases of intrusion to guarantee their integrity, verifying their correct functioning from the telecontrol systems, and mobilizing resources when necessary. As well as checking that no parameter is out of range once personnel leave them.

• Analyze, authorize and supervise the execution of all authorizations carried out on the Natural Gas Transport and Distribution Network, and satellite regasification plants for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

• Supervise the real-time operation of satellite regasification plants for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

• Carry out a correct transfer of information regarding the status of the operation, and relevant events, by daily recording it in the available supports for this, and the reliefs carried out during the shift change.

• Coordinate the closures and reopenings of large commercial or industrial facilities for MOP > 4 bar, calculations of gas leakage due to third-party damage to the natural gas network, extraction of gas quality data from LNG plants.

What you need:

Mandatory requirements:

• University Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Energy, Telecommunications, Roads or similar).

• 1 to 3 years of experience in the operation of energy infrastructures.

Valuable requirements:

• Previous experience in network operation.

• Experience in control centers and complex industrial environments.

• Advanced knowledge in data analysis, interpretation of operational information and use of tools. SCADA is valued.
