Técnico/a Operación y Urgencias Centro de Control de Distribución (Madrid)

The Gas Networks Spain business is responsible for the distribution of natural gas and renewable gas and operates nationwide (Spain). As a distribution company, it is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of more than 53,800 km of gas network to which more than 5.4 million supply points in almost 1,150 municipalities are connected. The main activities carried out are: commissioning, meter reading, periodic inspection and attention to notices. Our purpose is to be an active agent of decarbonization and a main actor in the country's energy transition.

Mission:

Supervision of the tasks entrusted in the shift; both in the real-time operation of the gas transport and distribution network, and in the management of urgent resolutions that arise on the networks and user reception facilities in order to guarantee correct operation and continuity of service, in accordance with the Operation Plans and current regulations, in addition to optimizing available resources.

The challenges of your day-to-day will be focused on:

You will work in three areas: Emergencies, Operation and service desk

• Attend to received calls (or the different communication entry points to the Control Center), gathering the necessary information from the interlocutors, in accordance with established criteria and procedures, to classify the priority of action and classify received notices based on their importance, to ensure their resolution and within established times, always in the P1 and P2 scope (emergency and urgent notices with commitment to security or continuity of supplies in networks and facilities)

• Assign received notices to the corresponding teams, depending on their availability and proximity to the incident site, transmitting the information they need for their resolution.

• Carry out daily monitoring of the operation of the Natural Gas Transport and Distribution Network, analyzing its key parameters to ensure that they comply with those established in the Operation Plans, as well as detecting possible deviations and acting to correct them, mobilizing resources if necessary.

• Collaborate in the management of information from the Natural Gas Transport and Distribution Network collected by SCADA and other supervision applications. Actively participating, in coordination with other Exploitation units, for the updating of said information, according to the needs of real-time exploitation and operation.

• Control the proper functioning of communication and telecontrol systems, as well as collaborate in their maintenance, with the aim of ensuring that network information is received at all times and that its elements can be acted upon when required.

• Control access to facilities, detecting possible cases of intrusion to guarantee their integrity, verifying their correct functioning from telecontrol systems, and mobilizing resources when necessary. As well as checking that no parameter is out of range once personnel leave them.

• Analyze, authorize and supervise the execution of all authorizations carried out on the Natural Gas Transport and Distribution Network, and satellite regasification plants for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

• Supervise the real-time operation of satellite regasification plants for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

• Carry out a correct transfer of information regarding the operational status, and relevant events, by recording them daily on the available media, and the reliefs carried out during the shift change.

• Coordinate the closures and re-openings of large commercial or industrial customers for MOP > 4 bar, calculations of gas leaks due to third-party damage to the natural gas network, extraction of gas quality data from LNG plants.

What you need:

Mandatory requirements:

• University Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Energy, Telecommunications, Civil or similar).

• 1 to 3 years of experience in energy infrastructure operations.

Valuable Requirements:

• Prior experience in network operation.

• Experience in control centers and complex industrial environments.

• Advanced knowledge in data analysis, interpretation of operational information and use of tools. SCADA is a plus.
