SGS Nederland B.V. has divided its services into 5 business lines, of which SGS Industrial is involved in various technical inspections of industrial equipment. The NDO department inspects and checks technical installations. From above-ground storage tanks to pipelines, from supervision of new factory construction to inspection during a company shutdown. Our NDO employees investigate critical welded joints and determine wall thickness reductions in constructions, plate or pipe material.

Important clients for our work are found in petrochemicals, in the construction of offshore platforms and pipelines. Construction, pipeline construction, storage terminals and general industry.

We have several clients in Rotterdam and the surrounding area where we are looking for an NDO Technician with experience.

As an NDO Technician, you are responsible for inspecting welded joints. You work in a team and perform various non-destructive material tests. Examples of non-destructive material testing include X-ray, ultrasonic, penetrant and magnetic testing.

In this position, you will also be involved in the following activities:

• You carry out research within your research discipline on behalf of the planner or project manager.

• You report the research findings;

• You communicate your research findings with the client at the execution site;

• You ensure a safe working method in a often complex working environment;

• You present yourself representatively and are also alert to new potential clients.

• In your training trajectory, administrative tasks will also come up, such as preparing reports and scanning radiographic images

Qualifications

If you have a technical background, have MBO-3 / 4 work and thinking level and already have experience with welding inspections/NDO work, then we are looking for you!

• You are in possession of a driver's license B;

• VCA certificate is a plus, but not a requirement;

• NDO certificates (RT/MT/UT/PT)
