The ICT department plays an integral part in the success of BG FUND MANAGEMENT LUXEMBOURG S.A. (BGFML).
The CHIEF TECHNOLOGY AND CHANGE OFFICER (CTCO)is responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the organization's technology strategy to support business objectives, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation initiatives. The role provides leadership over the entire IT function, ensuring that technology services, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support operations are delivered effectively, securely, and in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
As a senior management position, the CTCO acts as a trusted advisor to executive management, providing strategic guidance on technology investments, risk management, information security, business continuity, and innovation initiatives. The CTCO also fosters adoption of new technologies by the company’s staff and leads structural and governance changes needed to execute the technology strategy — including operating model design, decision-rights frameworks, and capability uplift.
ICT Strategy and Governance
Develop and maintain the ICT strategy aligned with organizational objectives and business priorities. Establish governance frameworks that ensure technology decisions support operational efficiency, regulatory obligations, and long-term business growth. Define technology roadmaps, standards, policies, and architectures that foster sustainable and secure operations
Infrastructure and Operations Management
Oversee the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, storage systems, collaboration platforms, workplace technologies, and communication systems. Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of all technology services.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure IT operations comply with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate policies. Support audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance initiatives related to frameworks such as DORA, CSSF requirements, GDPR, ISO standards, and information security best practices. Maintain technology risk registers and implement remediation plans for identified risks.
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
Manage technology resilience programs, including disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, crisis management support, and business continuity testing. Ensure critical systems can be recovered within agreed recovery objectives and that resilience capabilities remain aligned with business requirements.
IT Service Management
Oversee service delivery processes including incident management, problem management, change management, request fulfilment, asset management, and service-level monitoring. Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Financial and Budget Management
Develop and manage the IT budget, including operational expenses and capital investments. Evaluate technology initiatives through cost-benefit analysis and ensure optimal allocation of resources while maintaining service quality and compliance obligations.
Project and Portfolio Management
Sponsor and oversee technology projects and transformation programmes. Ensure initiatives are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline while achieving defined business outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and establish appropriate project governance mechanisms.
