Main Missions and Results:
As a Senior Commodity Buyer, MET (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of Machinery, Equipment, and Tooling (MET) as well as assigned indirect materials and services across the organization. In this role, you will ensure that procurement activities are aligned with Global Supply Chain Management strategies while delivering the best possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and maximizing value for the business.
Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple countries and regions, you will contribute to the optimization of procurement processes, the development of strategic supplier partnerships, and the implementation of best practices across all Inteva Product Lines. You will also play a key role in driving cost savings, supplier performance, and operational excellence within the global supply base.
Your Responsibilities Include
Develop, execute, and enhance commodity strategies for MET and other Indirect Materials and Services as assigned. Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of global market trends.
Actively support standardization and lean practices across all Inteva Product Lines globally. Drive optimization of the internal processes related to the procurement of MET.
Identify and develop strategic sources for MET globally. Manage relationships with all suppliers, resolve supplier issues and optimize suppliers’ performance.
Pursue systematic cost reductions for the assigned commodities, report savings to the Corporate office on a regular basis.
Execute comprehensive RFQ process and support functional users in timely manner while minimizing the risk and maximizing the value for Inteva.
Support general business activities and requirements of the specific functional groups, carry out other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Qualifications And Experience
You bring strong procurement expertise combined with a strategic mindset and a passion for building effective supplier partnerships in an international manufacturing environment.
University degree in Business, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience or equivalent experience working closely with suppliers
Significant experience in the procurement of Machinery, Equipment, and Tooling (MET)
Strong understanding of global supplier markets and sourcing strategies for capital equipment and tooling
Solid knowledge of cost structures, cost drivers, and commercial considerations within the MET category
Experience in procurement of capital and operational leases is considered an advantage
Proven expertise in legal contract negotiations, supplier management, and risk mitigation
Demonstrated project management capabilities with strong follow-through and execution skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to think strategically and conceptually
Experience managing complex sourcing projects in cross-functional and international environments
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Experience with Plex ERP systems is a plus
Willingness to travel up to 30% to company locations and supplier sites
Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage
