Funciones

Position Purpose:

To carry out the day-to-day handling, classification, storage, and dispatch of materials and tools on site, ensuring strict compliance with the project's safety, traceability, and inspection procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling and Control

• Perform the unloading, storage, and safe handling of piping, steel structures, fabricated components, electrical materials, instrumentation, and warehouse tools.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative verification of received materials against delivery notes and technical specifications.

• Record receipts, issues, and transfers in the inventory management system (ERP/WMS).

Material Supply and Housekeeping

• Efficiently issue material requests to field installation personnel.

• Maintain housekeeping, technical segregation, and cleanliness standards (5S methodology) throughout all storage areas.

• Strictly follow Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures during all handling operations.

Documentation and Process Support

• Assist with periodic inventory counts and report stock discrepancies.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize material handling operations and reduce execution times.

Requisitos

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations within industrial, metalworking, construction, or installation projects.

Education

• Secondary Education Certificate or Intermediate Vocational Qualification in Logistics, Metalworking, Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.

Required Certifications

• Valid Forklift Operator Licence (mandatory).

• Occupational Risk Prevention (HSE/OSH) training for the metalworking or construction sector.

Technical Competencies

• Ability to interpret material specifications and basic fabrication/shop drawings.

• Practical experience using radio-frequency (RF) terminals and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Skills

• Proficiency in material-handling operations.

• Attention to detail.

• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Languages

• English or Spanish required.

• German desirable.
